9th Annual Native American Media Awards Recap

The LA SKINS FEST hosted the 9th Annual ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN MEDIA AWARDS CEREMONY Sunday, November 22nd, 2020. This year’s annual awards gala was virtual and sponsored by Comcast NBCUniversal and AT&T iHumanity Connection. The awards ceremony honored the filmmakers, leaders and youth who show great talent and made a genuine difference in Indian Country. We celebrated filmmakers from across Indian Country and the great achievements in Native American cinema. The celebration featured music performances, special guests and appearances from Native American actors.
This year’s hosts were the world renowned and incredibly talented Q’Orianka Kilcher and Kalani Queypo. Performances from the incredible Noah Watts and awesome Shayna Jackson accompanied the celebration. Filmmakers were awarded for their hard work, dedication to their craft, and for telling genuine stories from our community. Since 2013, the LA SKINS FEST has commemorated its talented, innovative and outstanding artists who have shown a unique and strong voice in the entertainment industry and provided leadership in our community.
