Adventures to Green Space
ADVENTURES TO GREEN SPACE’ was conceived as a creative short film project to highlight the accessibility of green space in an urban setting for Native youth, by way of public transportation. This project was a part of the Seattle Department of Transporation’s (SDOT) initiatives around youth ambassadorship and transportation equity. SDOT partnered with Red Eagle Soaring, along with support from Sky Bear Media, the Suquamish Tribe, and RES Alumni mentors. For many of the youth in this project, this was their first experience making a film, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes with assistance from their filmmaker mentors. For the few others that had worked on films previously, they grew with their expanded hands-on experiences.
