Created as an educational resource for the Illuminating Worldviews project, ‘The River That Untangles One’s Mind’ invites audiences on a reflective journey into the reciprocal and symbiotic relationship between language, worldview, and world-making.

Alongside Yukon First Nations and Alaska Native language speakers, artists, and knowledge-keepers, producers Skaydu.û Jules and Guná Jensen collaborate with filmmaker Douglas Joe to explore the profound and generational power of language.

This contemplative film gently slows the heartbeat, guiding viewers down a river of thought—where language is more than a tool for communication; it is a waterway for identity, culture, story, and a way of seeing the world that has been floated down through generations.
