In 1989, Emmit Oliver, a Quinault Tribal elder organized the “Paddle to Seattle” as a part of Washington State Centennial Ceremony revitalizing a tradition that was lost for many years. now known as the Canoe Journey, the event has become symbol of cultural revitalization on a national level.
In 2013, the Quinault hosted what was one of the largest Canoe Journey in native american history. This film follows their journey in the days leading up to The Paddle to Quinault.
