Constable agent Francis has spent years enforcing evictions, each day another family out on the streets. His personal life is in shambles especially with his daughter that he hasn’t seen. since he ran off on her when she was just a baby. He is a broken man trying to fix himself, he has been trying for years to reconnect to his daughter. As her birthday approaches, her birthday slips his mind, and it destroys him. He doesn’t want to forget her.
On Emma’s birthday, Francis is assigned to evict a struggling family from their home. As he stands at the doorstep, he is struck by how similar it is to his own story of struggle. He gives them the eviction notice just like any other time.
At his AA meeting in a moment of profound clarity, Francis decides to forgo the eviction and instead to offer his help. This unexpected act of kindness sets off a chain of events that challenges his understanding of duty and compassion and changes his life f
