The NATIVE YOUTH FILM WORKSHOP includes two workshops that offer insight into multimedia. Our first workshop is focused on filmmaking and instructs the youth participants in camera operation, directing, editing, and music composition. The second workshop is an acting seminar taught by Native American actor. This workshop will discuss drama techniques, proper auditioning, and the business of acting.
The workshop is followed by a screening of youth films from our summer multimedia workshop. Every summer we travel to reservations and teach filmmaking to youth. The participants produce several films and they are screened them at the festival.
