Event Navigation
The Native American Film Workshop is a week-long program that provides Native American youth with the opportunity to learn about filmmaking and create their own short films. The workshop is held in Los Angeles and is partnered with Seven Generations Child & Family Services – United American Indian Involvement, Inc. (UAII).
Participants will learn about the different aspects of filmmaking, including writing, directing, shooting, and editing. They will also have the opportunity to meet and learn from professional filmmakers.
At the end of the week, participants will produce a short film about their culture, climate, social justice, or any other issue that affects them. The films will be screened for the community at UAII. Youth will also participate in a Q&A and discuss their experience working in production.
The Native American Film Workshop is a great opportunity for Native American youth to learn about filmmaking and to share their stories with the world. The workshop is free to attend but must RSVP.
If you are a Native American youth who is interested in participating in the Native American Film Workshop, please sign up contact [email protected]
