The Land Still Speaks is a contemplative documentary short that centers the voices of Indigenous peoples working with the Museum of the American Indian in Novato, California. Local Coast Miwok and Pomo cultural bearers give insight into their ongoing work of language revitalization, cultural preservation, and land stewardship. Through their oral histories, cultural demonstrations, and contemporary perspectives, the film explores a vision of museums as active spaces for sustaining Indigenous knowledge and supporting future generations.
