Tracy Lee Nelson

Tracy Lee Nelson (Blues Musician/Singer/Song Composer) is a Luiseno /Diegueno Native California Indian, a descendant of the Guassac family of the La Jolla Indian Reservation and the Mataweer/Duro family of the Mesa Grande Indian Reservation.

Tracy has engaged in playing many genres of music from blues to rock. In the 1990’s, he emerged from San Diego and Los Angeles areas as a musician with a ground breaking new perspective of the blues; a Native American’s point of view. This Southern California premiere Blues Artist has traveled across the nation such as New York City, Seattle Washington, New Mexico, Billings Montana, and Hollywood California sweeping the country with his hard hitting perspective of reservation life. Tracy’s unique voice, original lyrics and blues guitar work comes straight from the heart, writing and singing stories of issues that should have been spoken of long ago. Tracy Lee Nelson (Former member of the 1970’s hit band REDBONE with their song “Come and Get your Love” and former Tribal Chairman of the La Jolla Indian Reservation) has had the honor of being mentioned in Native People Magazine as one of the finest Native American Blues Artist.
