2016 SKINS YOUTH MULTIMEDIA WORKSHOP GOES TO VIEJAS!
Very Special Thanks to the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay in Alpine, California for having us. It is an honor to be invited to your community this summer for the 3rd time! We look forward to working with your youth and assisting them in producing new works!
About the Native Youth Multimedia Workshop:
This week long program teaches Native American youth to write, direct, shoot and edit their own movies! Every year, the SKINS YOUTH MULTI-MEDIA WORKSHOP travels to reservations throughout North America and Indigenous communities throughout the world to teach youth multimedia skills. The youth films from our workshops are shown at the LA SKINS FEST –this is a premier film festival for Native Americans in Los Angeles. The youth are invited to the film festival as special guests and are brought on tours of movie studios and television networks.
Since 2014 we have partnered with the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay. This year have also partnered with Fox Audience Strategy. Thank you Viejas Band of Kumeyaay and Fox Audience Strategy for your support!
