17th Annual LA SKINS FEST Recap

The 17th Annual LA SKINS FEST, held from November 14th-19th, 2023 in Hollywood, California, celebrated the rich diversity and talent of Native American filmmakers. The festival screened an impressive 65 independent films at the TCL Chinese Theatre (the most iconic movie palace in the world), highlighting the stories, struggles, and triumphs of Native American communities. From feature films to documentaries, shorts, and animations, the festival showcased a wide range of genres and perspectives, offering audiences a glimpse into the diverse experiences of Native Americans. The festival also featured industry panels and workshops, providing emerging Native American filmmakers with valuable insights and opportunities for networking. The 17th Annual LA SKINS FEST was a resounding success, reaffirming its position as a premier platform for showcasing Native American & Indigenous filmmaking and fostering cultural understanding.
