DESCRIPTION:On July 14th\, 2017\, the Native Youth Media Tour went to Sony Studios with several youth from the Morongo Tribal TANF. Sony hosted a special walking tour that allowed Native youth on film sets\, sound stages\, and a offered valuable education on film history. Thanks to Sony Pictures for opening their doors to our youth and making them feel special! We look forward to returning! \n \nThe Native Youth Media Tour entails Native American youth visiting movie studios\, television networks and film schools in Los Angeles\, California. This is a career development component designed to encourage Native American youth to explore employment in the entertainment industry and seek higher education. These professional visits include presentations from corporate staff that encourage the participating youth to pursue careers in film\, television and media.Professionals from the film industry also speak with the participants about job preparation\, and giving  tours around the studio lots.
