SUMMARY:Native American Youth Virtual Reality Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Native American Youth Virtual Reality Workshop launched with tribes in Colorado and Utah!\nThe week long interactive and educational workshop introduced the Oculus for indigenous teens and youth. The goal is to encourage Native American youth to explore careers in virtual reality. \nThe workshop collaborated with the following tribes and Native-led organizations to host the new initiative. \nCheck out Ute Youth from Towaoc\, CO and White Mesa\, Utah during our workshop March 7th – 17th\, 2022: \n \nThe VR workshop continued June 13th – 17th in Towaoc\, CO with 360 video production combined with virtual reality tech! Check out a quick tour of the Ute Youth Skate Park as it is cleaned up by the youth Bushwacker program: \n \nCheck out stills from the June Towaoc reservation workshop here:\n \nThe Native Youth VR workshop continues June 20th – June 24th\, 2022 at the White Mesa reservation in Utah and wraps up with a VR workshop at United American Indian Involvement June 27th – June 30th in Los Angeles. \nThe workshop offers a fun\, career building experience working with virtual reality apps\, games and resources.
