SUMMARY:2019 Native American Youth Animation Workshop - Recap
DESCRIPTION:The Native American Youth Animation Workshop was a two day intensive workshop that offered Native American youth new opportunities in animation. This lab was designed to offer genuine access for Native Americans interested in learning and entering the field of animation. The LA SKINS FEST partnered with Sherman Indian High School in Riverside\, CA and provided several promising Native American youth a new career path.  \nNative Youth worked with professional animation software and had a group discussion with executives from Crunchyroll and Amazon Animation. The program offered mentorship so participants may learn the full experience of producing animation. Thanks to United American Indian Involvement\, Inc. for supporting the workshop. \nThis workshop was accompanied with studio visits to Aaron Sims Creative and 6 Point Harness. The youth learned about new animation and visual effects techniques.
