DESCRIPTION:The 12th Annual LA SKINS FEST held the 7th ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN MEDIA AWARDS CEREMONY Saturday\, November 17th\, 2018 at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood sponsored by Comcast NBCUniversal and the Paramount Network.  \nThe annual ceremony was hosted by the world renowned Q’orianka Kilcher (The Alienist\, Hostiles) and Kalani Queypo (Jamestown\, Saints & Strangers). Local Native American celebrities such as Gil Birmingham (Yellowstone)\, Elizabeth Frances (The Son)\, Zahn Mcclarnon (Westworld\, The Son\, Longmire)\, and Martin Sensmeier (Westworld\, Wind River\, The Magnificent Seven)\, and Eugene Brave Rock (Wonder Woman) attended the ceremony and showed their support.  Filmmakers from across Indian country were honored for their great achievements in Native American cinema. \nSince 2013\, the LA SKINS FEST has honored it’s talented\, innovative and outstanding artists who have shown a unique and strong voice in the entertainment industry and provided leadership in our community. \nThe 2018 LA SKINS FEST winners are: \nAchievement in Short Film\nMUD\nDirected by Shaandiin Tome \nAchievement in Directing\nCowboy\nBoise Esquerra \nAchievement in Documentary Film\nWarrior Women\nDirected by Christina D.
