The LA SKINS FEST ranks among the country’s best and most prestigious film festivals in the United States. The festival is an annual gathering for film industry insiders, cinema enthusiasts, filmmakers, and critics. The LA SKINS FEST is considered a major launching ground for Indian Country’s most talked about films.
Our opening night screening will be held Friday November 17th, 2017 at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences newest theater in Hollywood the Linwood Dunn Theater. A reception will precede the event with a Q&A following the screening.
The LA SKINS FEST takes place November 14th-19th, 2017 at various location in Hollywood, CA. The festival is a 6-day multicultural event celebrating the art of film.

The 2017 LA SKINS FEST schedule consists of dozens of filmmakers presenting their newest works, special artist development programs, tributes to community leaders, special events, and remarkable films.
In the past eleven years, the LA SKINS FEST has garnered support from several art foundations, entertainment corporations, and Native American tribes.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, NBCUniversal. San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, CBS Entertainment Diversity, National Endowment for the Arts, HBO, Streampix, FOX, Turner, CBS Corp, A+E, DISNEY, Aids Healthcare Foundation, Lionsgate, STARZ, ABC7, Paramount, Sony, Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell and the UCLA – American Indian Studies Center are partners of the LA SKINS FEST to provide great opportunities for the Native American community.
