2019 European Film Market

January 31, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The LA SKINS FEST Heads to the European Film Market!

LA SKINS FEST Executive Directors, Ian Skorodin and Patricia Gomes, have been invited to the 2019 European Film Market in Berlin, Germany by the Sardinian Film Commission. A new feature script, written in the LA SKINS FEST 2018 Native American Feature Film Writers Lab, has been selected as a project to be solicited as part of the Sardinian Film Commission’s slate of films at the market. Ian and Patricia will also be attending the Berlin Film Festival taking place concurrently with the market.

“We are excited and honored to be in attendance at the market this year. We look forward to meeting with several international production companies and offering Native American films to the entire world!” declared Patricia Gomes, LA SKINS FEST Program Director,” We can’t thank the Sardinian Film Commission enough for supporting our organization and believing in Native American films!”

The European Film Market is one of the top three meeting places of the international film and media industries. Its close links with the Berlinale as a public film festival, and its position at the heart of Berlin’s vivid creative economy, are defining characteristics of the Berlinale’s film market. Yet the EFM is more than just an agile marketplace for trading film and audiovisual content – it has also positioned itself as a platform for innovation and change.
