Laura Nava (Chichimeca) is a Native American writer born and raised in Los Angeles. Laura attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in Political Science; Women’s Studies (currently Gender Studies). One of her earliest works, titled Catalyst for Change, was published in the UCLA Center for the Study of Women newsletter. Before discovering her true passion for screenwriting, Laura gained entry and successfully completed UCLA School of Law’s prestigious Law Fellows Program. However, since graduating she has consistently worked on several films and TV shows in pursuit of becoming a television writer. Her most recent professional venture has been as a writers’ assistant on shows that include The CW’s Reign, and Hulu’s Golden Globe nominated series, Casual.
